Arsenal is close to beating Real Madrid in signing former Man City player
Arsenal will reportedly provide stiff competition to Real Madrid in the race to sign an ace winger from Bayern Munich this summer.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, 26-years-old is the subject of interest from Arsenal over a possible move in the summer transfer window.
The German international, valued at €50 million by Bayern Munich, is also a target for Real Madrid.
Leroy Sane has made considerable progress since joining Bayern Munich from Manchester City nearly two years ago
While the 26-year-old has not been as productive as he was during his days at the Etihad, he has been a handy contributor for the Bavarian giants in the last couple of seasons.
The German international has a decent record of 24 goals and 27 assists in 89 appearances thus far for Bayern Munich.
But Sane faces an uncertain future at the Allianz Arena, with widespread reports claiming his representatives offered him to Real Madrid.
And Arsenal might provide stiff competition to Los Blancos in the race to sign him.
However, Real Madrid might not launch the offensive for Sane, with Carlo Ancelotti recently insisting that Los Blancos will not sign any more players in the summer transfer window.
But amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Marco Asensio, Real Madrid might have to scour the market for a potential replacement.
