Erik Ten Hag drops his final decision as the are in race to battle Arsenal in signing top rated star.

United are reportedly considering moving for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans before the end of the January transfer window.

Since the 25-year-contract old’s with the Foxes is set to expire at the end of June, much conjecture continues to surround his future.

The Belgian international has been closely associated with Arsenal, but Man United were also said to be interested in him throughout the summer, and the Red Devils may now be contemplating a bid for him.

According to information given to journalist Thomas Alencar by Sacha Tavolieri, Erik ten Hag’s team is thinking about signing Tielemans as a result of Donny van de Beek’s season-ending knee injury.

“United is interested in Tielemans. No proposal yet,” wrote Alencar on his official Twitter account.

“The interest comes from the team of scouts and the sporting director of the club. The Belgian is one of the possibilities in January after Van de Beek’s injury.”

Van de Beek will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on the catastrophic knee injury he sustained against Bournemouth earlier this month.

Additionally, there has been talk about Scott McTominay’s future, with Newcastle United rumored to be interested in bringing the Scotland international to the club before the month is through.

Man United might consequently be looking to add a new central midfielder in January even if they initially decided against doing so during the winter transfer window.

Since joining the Foxes from Monaco in 2019, initially on loan, the Belgian has made 182 appearances overall, totaling 28 goals and 25 assists.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers recently said that he was still hopeful over a potential new deal for the midfielder at the King Power Stadium.

“It has gone on for a while, but it’s all based around the player, ultimately. His commitment is no less now to what it was when I first came in – if not even more. He’s loved his time here and is still loving his time here,” Rodgers told reporters earlier this month.

Man United ‘weighing up January move for Youri Tielemans’

“I respect that he’s in his last year, of course I want to tie him down. He’s been a brilliant player for this club and is still at a great age. It’s something that has to be right for all parties.

Man Utd chief John Murtough’s view on reviving Adrien Rabiot transfer and signing Casemiro Man Utd chief John Murtough’s view on reviving Adrien Rabiot’s transfer and signing Casemiro After losing to Brentford, ten Hag criticizes Man United as being “naive.” The notion of bringing in Casemiro and Adrien Rabiot as a midfield tandem this summer has been shelved by Manchester United’s recruitment boss John Murtough. Negotiations for the former fell through due to pay demands, and a swoop for the latter is allegedly being pursued in its place because the chances of a double deal seem remote. Rabiot, whose contract expires in a year, was quickly agreed upon by United and Juventus for a £15 million cost. The agreement is thought to have fallen through, though, after Murtaugh traveled to Italy and met with the Frenchman’s agent and mother, Veronique, a very shrewd negotiator. According to rumors,...
